Over three days in April, Immaculate Heart College was represented at the WA Interschool Equestrian Championships by six riders: Serena Smith (Year 10), Chloe Carberry-Smith (Year 10), Evelyn Jones (Year 10), Emily Sweetman (Year 8), Sophie Tennant (Year 8) and Sophie Moseley (Year 6).
The girls competed in a wide range of disciplines with their beautiful horses including show-jumping, eventing, combined training, dressage, show horse and vaulting. All riders showed outstanding school spirit and sportsmanship and received many individual placings, with Serena and Sophie Tennant gaining selection to represent WA at the National event in Melbourne. Unfortunately, we were not eligible for school awards as we did not have enough riders competing so we would love some more of our horse riders to get involved next year!
